Refund Policy

Transparent guidelines for refunds, cancellations, and deposit handling on all services.

Effective January 25, 2025Last Updated February 28, 2026

Overview

We want every client to feel confident when working with us. This policy outlines when and how refunds are handled for all web development services purchased through hermez.dev. All payments are processed through PayPal, and all refunds are issued to the original payment method via PayPal.

1. Before Work Begins

If you cancel your project before any work has started, you are eligible for a full refund of the amount paid (including deposits).

To cancel, send a written request to hermez.info@gmail.com with your order details.

2. Within 48 Hours of Kickoff

If you cancel within 48 hours of the project kickoff (the date we confirm work has started), you are eligible for a 50% refund of the total amount paid.

This accounts for initial research, planning, and setup time already invested.

3. After First Deliverable

Once the first deliverable (e.g., initial design mockup, staging deployment, or code delivery) has been shared with you, no refund is available.

At this stage, significant work has been completed. We encourage clients to use the included revision rounds (Starter: 2, Professional: 3, Enterprise: 3) to fine-tune the project to their satisfaction.

4. Deposits

For projects totaling $500 or more, a 50% deposit is required before work begins. Deposits follow the same refund timeline above:

  • Full deposit refund if cancelled before work starts.
  • 50% of deposit refundable within 48 hours of kickoff.
  • Non-refundable after first deliverable is shared.

The remaining balance is due upon project completion, before final files and assets are delivered.

5. Add-On Services

Add-on services (extra revisions, additional pages/routes, additional sections, DNS & deployment setup, priority delivery, etc.) are non-refundable once the work associated with the add-on has been completed or the priority timeline has been applied.

If an add-on has not yet been started, it may be eligible for a full refund upon request.

6. Specialized Services

Specialized services — including consultation, bug fixing, cloud architecture, AI integration, codebase modernization, product MVP development, and DevOps/CI-CD setup — follow the same refund timeline as standard projects (Sections 1–3 above).

Consultation calls are non-refundable once the session has taken place. If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice.

7. How to Request

To request a refund, email us at:

hermez.info@gmail.com

Please include:

  • Your full name and email used at checkout
  • PayPal transaction or capture ID (found in your payment confirmation email)
  • The service purchased
  • Reason for the refund request

We aim to process all refund requests within 5–7 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method via PayPal.

8. Disputes

If you believe a refund decision was made in error, please contact us to discuss the matter. We handle all disputes in good faith and aim for a fair resolution. If we cannot reach an agreement, you may open a dispute through PayPal's Resolution Center.

9. Changes to Policy

We reserve the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to your transaction.
